[HvEXAS] Collar City Film Festival :: Looking for submissions!

Call for submissions for the Collar City Film Festival vol. 1 !

 

Submission deadline: October 17th at Midnight

Event date: November 3rd

location: 51 Third St, Troy NY

 

We are seeking submissions of short films to be presented on the evening of November 3rd, at 51 Third St. in Troy, NY.  Films will be part of the first ever Collar City Film Festival, a platform for video artists working in the greater capital region and Hudson valley! We are shooting for submissions of films 25 minutes or less, but exceptions can be made.  

 

Also, there is the opportunity for artists wishing to present a 10-minute performance piece during the intermission.  Juggling knives? Tap dancing? Interpretive dance? Freaky weird stuff? Let us know!

All formats are welcome, so if you need a film projector or a VHS player or some other wacky device just let us know.  You will need to provide proper cabling/tech yourself for anything outside the realm of a computer/projector.

[HvEXAS] MOHU Returns

MOHU OCTOBER 5–14 The MOHU festival returns for ten days this October, celebrating the arts throughout the greater Capital Region of New York. Beginning Friday, October 5, dozen of venues, artists, and arts organizations from all over Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and Saratoga counties band together to display the strength and diversity of the cultural programming that makes this area so special. From performances to workshops, large ensembles to individual artists, and gallery openings to lectures, MOHU offers something for everyone. This year spotlights the various geographic hotspots that make up the Capital Region, with Monday, October 8 through Thursday, October 11 each being individually focused on one of the four counties that comprise MOHU. The beginning and closing weekends will feature a tantalizing course of events at venues both big and small. A kick-off fundraising party on Thursday, October 4 will precede the festival, with all proceeds supporting MOHU. The festival wraps up with Drums Along The MOHU, which culminates in a closing celebration at the Egg that is free and open to the public. Events will be added continuously to the MOHU website - check back regularly for updates.
