The TNO Afterparty :: Summer's Almost Gone Edition
Friday, August 27th, 2010
9pm-2am

FREE!  |  18 to get in, 21 to drink (ID required)
Daisy Bakers | 33 2nd Street | Troy, NY | 518-266-9200
This month's music:  White Lotus, Jenkins, Properly Chilled

Ahh, the last TNO of the summer, and some say the best. The sun tones it down a smidge, the sky turns all purple, and Daisy's outdoor patio is all the better for it. But what about the beats, you say? Don't worry, we've got it.

Get in the mood with Properly Chilled, opening it up with his signature blend hard-to-find grooves to get the blood flowing.

White Lotus, the DJ/MC/Math-Lover extraordinaire that never disappoints, will be searching for the famed Baryshnikov-Turbo Constant, the theoretical value to maximize booty bouncing in a closed system. Don't be alarmed if you find yourself on the dancefloor with the TA from your economics class.

Jenkins aka Jenks aka NYS Attorney General just got back from a 1,000 mile trip. Really. He has pictures. Kinda far, huh? Weeks and weeks on a bike. Imagine what that will do to the DJ inside of him. Exactly. It's going to be a good night.

9pm-11pm:  Properly Chilled
11pm-12:30am:  White Lotus
12:30am-2am:  Jenkins

The last friday of every month, come for Troy Night Out and stay out late with us! Daisy Baker's, 9pm-2am, FREE, dance till you can't!

This fall, EMPAC presents a calendar of events including an operatic spectacle featuring Capital Region actors and cheerleaders; an exhibition about anxiety; a building-wide sonic landscape; a poignant stop-action film with a rock-star band; a theatrical performance bridging concert, cabinet of curiosities, and video installation; an intimate dialogue in movement reflecting life; and many more performances, exhibitions, workshops, talks, screenings, and concerts.

Add to all this the first biennial festival Filament on October 1-3 and the opening of Evelyn's CafĂŠ (under the management of The Epicurean), and it is shaping up to be a busy and action-packed fall.

Hold on tight!
