What is MoHu? MoHu is an exciting week-long event celebrating the arts in the region. At its heart, MoHu is a cultural marketing campaign, based on the premise that the region's arts institutions (and the region itself) can be stronger by working together. Last October Capital District communities came together to celebrate the vibrant diversity of the region's arts organizations, demonstrating what can be accomplished when we think and act regionally. This inaugural MoHu (inspired by the two rivers that both connect and divide the region) was a great success! More than 50,000 people turned out to participate for this all-volunteer inaugural effort, getting it off to a rousing start. MoHu 2012 will take place from Friday, October 5 through Sunday October 14, with a special MoHu Preview Party on the evening of Thursday October 4. From Monday the 8th through Thursday the 11th we will be highlighting a different part of the region each night with a series of special events at the points of the MoHu Compass: Albany (South, 10/10), Schenectady (West, 10/8), Rensselaer (East, 10/9) and Saratoga (North, 10/11) . MoHu Open Studio Discovery Tour will take place on Columbus Day, October 8, 2012. Artists and venues can participate any or all days. How can you be a part of MoHu? Individual Artists: October 8, 2012 Open Your Studio for Discovery Tour Day. Oct 5 - 14, 2012 Be part of a Group Show at Proctors.
