June 19 brings another monthly ART NIGHT to Schenectady, and starting at 5:30pm in Proctors SIGNATURES bar, we are thrilled to announce the very first appearance of Bob Gluck's latest project, "Synapse Brothers", bringing together electro-acoustic music, improvised jazz and funk. You truly won't want to miss this one. And there's NO COVER! SIGNATURES is located inside Proctors at 432 State Street, Schenectady.
Synapse Brothers features Bob Gluck (keyboards and electronics) and John Myers (guitars and MIDI guitar), with sound design and recorded material by Patrick Gleeson.
Here's what critics have had to say about Bob Gluck's previous work:
".. an engaging tapestry of living sound... Electric Brew [2007] is a welcome reminder of what magic can happen when rules are not so much broken, but taken out of the equation completely. Highly recommended.
(note: in the June issue, Gluck was selected as Keyboard magazine's "Unsigned Musician of the Month")
"An accomplished and passionate pianist in the most elusive tradition of masters Cecil Taylor, Andrew Hill, McCoy Tyner, and Don Pullen. He's captured the magic of being at once sentimental and Space Pong crazy..." - Erik Lawrence, Chronogram (August 2008)
